Position falls within the Imaging Engineering Business Area for Mr. David Patridge., reporting to Lori Floyd as Task Manager. This is a full-time position (M-F 0700-1600) with growth opportunity. Position provides direct support to the Periscope Imaging Alteration Installation Manager responsible for Imaging System Installations within the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Code 34. Primary duties include, but are not limited to; scheduling and tracking of Imaging Upgrade TEMPALTs, SHIPALTs, OPALTs and Engineering Changes (EC), drafting various Naval Messages, reviewing/performing RMMCO check-in requirements prior to installations, maintaining N77 installation tracking matrix, development and submission of Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) between various maintenance activities, developing/tracking of Code 34 EC’s and preparation and submission of weekly status reports. Position requires the management of database systems including: Navy Data Environment (NDE), Navy Modernization (NM), and NTIRA for Imaging Upgrades. Office will be located at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI. Some travel may be required to perform occasional ship checks and to support quarterly C5I Conference in Washington, D.C.
Degree, or equivalent with a minimum 5 years installation experience specific to Periscope Systems (SUBIS, ISIS, Legacy, Night Owl) Installations, ship check and installation coordination on board U. S. Naval Submarines. Working knowledge of Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) is strongly encouraged. Position requires proficient use of MS Products to include; Word, Excel, Project and Power Point. Strong knowledge of EC’s, MOA’s and SHIPALT’s/TEMPALT’s is required. Candidate should be able to work independently with little supervision in a high paced environment. Department of Defense Clearance (SECRET) must be acquired and maintained.
