Systems Engineering Associates Corporation (SEA CORP) of Middletown has just been awarded a five-year, $12 million contract from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, Rhode Island to support the Combat Systems Department. Under this contract, SEA CORP will provide support services in their fundamental business areas of advanced systems engineering, design, and test and evaluation.

This award represents new work for SEA CORP in key areas that the company has been working in for over 30 years. SEA CORP, as the prime contractor, will coordinate services to NUWC.  Subcontractors contributing to this effort include Digital Diagnostics Inc. (DDI), McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC), Rite Solutions, and URS/AECOM.

“SEA CORP is glad to have the opportunity to support NUWC and the VIRGINIA Class program. This new contract is a result of the hard work of SEA CORP personnel in our core business areas of systems engineering and test and evaluation of submarine non propulsion electronics systems,” said Dave Cadorette, SEA CORP’s Vice President for Business Development.

SEA CORP, a locally-owned Rhode Island business, was founded in Newport in 1981.  The company provides a wide variety of systems and engineering services primarily to Government customers.  They are headquartered in Middletown’s Aquidneck Corporate Park.  SEA CORP employs about 360 professionals including engineers, scientists, technicians and management support personnel.
